Natalie Leysley

Natalie is a Torres Strait Islander multi-disciplinary artist with Asian and European ancestry. Co-founder of Upai Purri, Darwin’s traditional Torres Strait Island dance group, Nat has performed locally and nationally with music, dance, both cultural and modern. Nat has been a practising artist since graduating in (Dance & Theatre Foundations) from Aboriginal Dance Theatre (NSW). Between playing instruments, singing her lungs, running dance/music programs and popping the occasional Breakdance Freeze, Nat jacks up the ARTS and CULTURE and is a powerhouse of every team.
