Carol Putica

Board Member

During a trip around Australia my partner and I arrived in Darwin in 1996, fell in love with the place and have never left.
My involvement with Corrugated Iron Youth Arts started with my two daughters. Both became deeply involved in Corro through drama and circus. I admired how inclusive and supportive of all its students the staff at Corro were. Corro was often breaking new ground and it was an exciting and creative time for everyone.
Working in education and as the Principal of Ludmilla Primary School I am committed to learning through the arts, equity in education and ensuring that First Nations Peoples knowledge, wisdom and expertise are a part of all we do. Corrugated Iron Youth Arts have always been leaders in these areas, so when I was asked to join the board, I jumped at the opportunity. I feel honoured to be a small part of such a great team.

Corrugated Iron Youth Arts is assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its funding and advisory body, the Northern Territory Government and City of Darwin.
