FAQs

Enrolments

How do I enrol?

You can enrol online (see button at top of page) or by visiting our office.

Do you offer concession rates?

Yes, we do! Our concession rates are shown with an *asterisk and include:

  • Families in possession of a pension or healthcare card

  • When you enrol more than one family member in the same term

  • When you enrol in more than one workshop program per term (second workshop program discounted)

Do I need to pay for classes in advance?

Yes. But if this is an issue, speak with the Workshop and Admin Coordinator to work out a payment instalment plan before participants begin their classes.

Can I enrol after term has started?

Enrolments part-way through term or semester are paid pro-rata.

Can I test drive a class and see if I like it?

Our recommendation is to sign up for the term and encourage your young creative to attend more than one week in order to give the class a good test. We can discuss refunding the class if it is not suitable

Cancellations

Will I get a refund if I don't like the class or cannot attend anymore?

Refund of cancelled bookings is at the discretion of Corrugated Iron. The reason for the refund and timeframe will be taken into consideration.

What's your policy on class cancellation?

LOW NUMBERS

Corrugated Iron reserves the right to cancel classes should enrolment numbers not be sufficient to continue the class.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

We tend not to run classes on long weekends and public holidays.

MISSED CLASSES

Missed classes will not be reimbursed. No catch up classes are available for individuals.

COVID 19 AND OTHER DISRUPTIONS

If Corrugated Iron has to cancel a class, a make-up class will be rescheduled where possible.

Corrugated Iron follows the health advice and directions from the NT Government and City of Darwin. If our facilities are affected for more than one week, the timeframe for make-up classes is limited and we will contact parents/careers with further details.

Behaviour

My child has trouble concentrating/sitting still - how can I support their participation?

We expect young creatives to behave and follow instructions especially when not only their safety is involved, but that of the whole group.

Parents are encouraged to talk to us about their young creative's needs in relation to behaviour management, especially if there are known strategies that our tutors and trainers can use to support their participation. We will talk to parents about their child’s behaviour if it is detracting from the other participants’ class time.

My child will make their own way to class after school. Is this okay?

Young people who arrive early for class are unsupervised, and our expectation is that they sit quietly in the foyer. Parents should be aware that the office may be unattended, and in other venues, Corrugated Iron staff will arrive just before class. It is good if they have a book and they should have a healthy afternoon snack.

Parents and participants must provide up to date contact details.
