NT PERFORMING ARTS AWARDS
Nominations now open!
2020 has been a hell of a year and the performing arts have been hit hard but in the Northern Territory we’re still celebrating our creative people and the work they do. As a huge acknowledgment and nod to the many people who bring the NT performing arts scene alive, the Awards are peer driven with you nominating the people who make a difference. The sector is vast, think; creatives, performers and designers, to behind the scenes; writers, producers, production and technicians to those artists who inspire the next generation.
The inaugural NT Performing Arts Awards were held 2019 and initiated by the sector to recognise the huge contribution that creatives make to the vibrancy and liveability of the NT.
How does it work?
Jump online to nominate. The form includes six suggested categories but if your nomination doesn’t fit in to those, we invite you to make a new category because we don’t want to leave anyone behind on this journey.
Performers- anyone on stage
Creatives - choreographers, directors, writers, designers, producers
Behind the scenes - technicians, stage managers, project co-ordinators
Significant Contribution - a body of work or a lifetime contriubtion
Inspiring the next generation - Teachers, workshops facilitators
Something else - We don't want to leave anyone behind, so if the person fits another category that is not above tick this box
There are no limits to the number of nominations you can make. If you see a performer you like during a festival or at an NT venue, know of a designer who is creating amazing work, want to give credit to a production person who goes above and beyond the call of duty, or perhaps someone you know who is inspiring the next generation of NT performing artists, then nominate them TODAY for an Award.
Nominations close 19 October.
