WATCH MY SPACE

Watch My Space is a cyber solution to a cyber problem driven by young people working with
Corrugated Iron and the NT Police.
Throughout 2011 participants will explore the cyber bullying phenomenon and generate outcomes in a range of formats. Young people will be empowered to find and create the tools they feel are needed for solutions and make a unique contribution to multimedia content dealing with this area.
This project will encourage creative, positive and safe use of information and communication technologies; empower victims of cyber-bullying by reducing their vulnerability through skilled and innovative use of technologies and enable them to understand and access support mechanisms to reduce the incidences and effects of cyber-bullying; and, encourage attitudinal and behavioural change in perpetrators. NT Police is currently delivering a presentations to schools detailing the legal aspects and repercussions of cyber-bullying. Watch My Space will extend this presentation with contributions from young people.

A tempting assortment of dance, theatre, circus and visual arts.
Tease will showcase works by young performing artists and established young artists, over a 6 night season incorporating theatre, dance, music, circus arts, visual arts and multimedia. Tease will be driven by a team of creative professionals working in close consultation with young performers over a dedicated development period. |

Corrugated Iron's annual free show for families with Tunas Mekar Balinese Dance Collective.
Corrugated Iron’s annual free family show sees us partner with Tunas Mekar Balinese Dance Collective for a performance that will blend Balinese dance, gamelan, puppetry, multimedia, circus and theatre. A Balinese folk tale will be adapted for Territory audiences acknowledging the strong links between Bali and Darwin in terms of climate and geography. The partnership offers Corrugated Iron an opportunity to explore cultural performance elements, fusing them with contemporary artforms. |
