NT WIDE OPPORTUNITY FOR 2008!

Your Music Sux is a show the whole Territory will have a say in. The written, drawn and recorded input of young people aged 13-17 is currently being sought through schools, youth organisations, arts bodies, communities and directly via the website. It is a theatre show that will be performed live in Darwin, but also transmitted via the internet and the Open Education Centre and will also be made available for viewing on pod cast in November.

UPDATE: you can now become a friend of YOUR MUSIC SUX! Check out CIYA's brand new bebo account here!

ALSO COMING UP @ CIYA:

Eight Treasure Rice is a group devised work driven by Kin Leong; participants, who identify as Asian-Australian, will go on a cultural and theatrical journey of exploration before presenting the resulting new work in a week long season later in the year.
If you are interested, contact the office.

Other News:

If you are 18 and over, there is the 18>26 Theatre Ensemble which includes The Smelter - a fortnightly meet-up where we discuss theatre, make theatre and take over the world! Actually, the last part is almost true, as we ultimately will be looking to take self-devised shows to festivals around Australia. We have guest experts coming in to talk about different aspects and styles of theatre, and help us to explore them in a hands-on way!
